The music of PROX is grounded in honest spaces, anchored in Marcs gritty baritone voice, harmonica and guitar that is felt deeply, complex to the musicians ear, yet pleasant and soothing to the room. Soon to promote the release of his 1st studio album, “Resless Soul” - an album that explores the phases of grief in times of hardship. The songwriting of the album pulled songs from the past decade, written to witness and soothe the hard moments inspiring each song. The recording embraces the gritty, soulful ache of a harmonica and warm analog tape saturation, leaning into elements of live performance underscoring the human element in the music. Driven by a raw, exposed vocal tone reminiscent of Springsteens Nebraska recordings, and an underlying feeling of hard-won resilience, the songwriting doesn’t flinch at the quiet, heavy realities of life.
